Success rates

We are extremely proud of our results and have helped bring more than 2,000 South Australian babies into the world.

While we are completely transparent about our success rates, the chances of having a healthy baby are extremely individual. Age, health, genetic factors and any existing conditions affecting either or both partner’s fertility can all play a significant role. It is why all of our fertility specialists will have an open and honest conversation with you about your individual treatment options and your chances of success.

The results published here are also reported to a central body called ANZARD (Assisted Reproductive Technology in Australia and New Zealand) where all accredited clinics provide their data. If you would like further information on interpreting pregnancy rates please refer to Fertility Society of Australia “How to choose an IVF clinic and understand success rates”.

Some clinics will make their data look better by removing some types of patients. We don’t do that. We include all patient groups and update our records regularly. The current results are for 2018 due to having to wait 9 months to determine the birth rate.

If you’d like to discuss your situation or better understand success rates, we’re happy to arrange a chat with one of our nurses.

The FSA story

For more than 10 years we have worked tirelessly to be leaders in intelligent fertility care.

We started Fertility SA in 2009 because we believed an independently owned and operated clinic could provide the best fertility treatment for South Australians.

As a group of specialist fertility doctors we wanted to offer the right treatment for our patients, acknowledging that everyone has a different journey and that completely individualised treatment plans are the best way forward. This means honest and intelligent advice about the treatment options, costs and potential success.

We brought together a complete team of doctors, nurses, counsellors and embryologists to give our patients the care they need during treatment and the best chance of having a healthy baby. We have continually invested in our world-class laboratory and introduced the latest proven techniques and treatments in fertility treatment.

We have always taken part in world leading, high quality research and continue to do so, better understanding fertility and honing the reproductive treatments available. We have been involved in the birth of more than 2,000 South Australian babies and will continue to be there for South Australians needing fertility treatment in the years to come.
